LOCATION & TIMES
Dates: March 14-18, 2016. 9:30-4:30
Location: Dixon Hall School of Music - 58 Sumach St
Tuition for the GRCTEAST, like all GRCT programs, is sliding scale: $0-$300. We prefer to give our participants the space to decide what amount works best for their budget.
Girls Rock Camp Toronto operates with very limited resources, and we rely heavily on donations and support from the community to sustain our programs. We ask those who can afford to pay full price to do so. That being said, we do realize that not everyone can afford our suggested fees, so we use a sliding scale that includes a range of tuition amounts. Please consider your family income, resources, and dependents in the household when determining your tuition amount. This process is honour-based and confidential. We do not require any supporting documentation for consideration, so we expect you to be honest in your assessment and statement of financial need.
ROCKER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
Any girl between the ages of 8-14 by the start of camp may apply. Campers are selected by a committee seeking to establish a balanced and diverse camp population in relation to instrument, age, previous musical experience, economic status, geography and community. We anticipate receiving more applications than spots available, meaning we may not be able to accept every girl who applies. Additional information about camp will be sent with acceptance letters.
Campers choose which instrument to learn: guitar, bass guitar, drums, or keyboards. Please indicate first and second choice of instrument on the application. Due to the need to acquire gear in advance, you cannot change your selection after you send in your application, and you cannot change instruments during the program.
Instruments will be provided, but if you have your own guitar or bass, you may bring it. Please note that Girls Rock Camp Toronto does not accept liability for personal instruments.
Girls Rock Camp Toronto does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national and/or ethnic origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, mental or physical ability, or gender identity in the administration of any of its educational programs, admissions policies, tuition assistance, and other camp-related policies and programs, as well as volunteer and employment-related policies and activities.
